Rogerian Argumentative Essay

Communities are very delicate. One tiny little minute detail could set the whole thing off. It could be anything from people being bad people to a death of some sort. Communities aren't all that unstable; it take a combination of things and major events like the ones listed before to change anything. Huge problems lead to unstable and unhealthy communities. Characteristics of unhealthy communities include; teen pregnancy rates in Latin communities, obesity rates and decision making skills, all of these things can be caused by violence and if efforts were focused on improving how to handle violence, like planned pregnancies, weight loss programs, and proper decision making skills, then unhealthy communities could be improved by becoming less violent.

One very likely reason for unhealthy communities is teen pregnancy rates. Teen pregnancies are characteristics of unhealthy communities because typically children cost a lot of money and teenagers do not have that type of money to spend on themselves or even another human being. So this leads to things like the kids entering the child care system and being sent to foster homes or poverty for the family that decides to keep the child. Teen pregnancy rates around the United States have improved. It varies differently for each type of community. Different ethnicity's have different levels of improvement. Latin communities have shown more susceptibility to becoming more likely to becoming pregnant at a younger age. In one study done, it was shown that Latin communities that had known gang involvement or family and friends with known gang involvement are more likely to become pregnant before they enter adulthood (Miller). This is in part due to the violence. To fix this, it would be best to have options readily available to the women of these communities. Offering services and resources to help them. By doing this, it will lead to less unplanned pregnancies which in turn will lead to less violence.

Another characteristics of an unhealthy community is obesity rates. The reason this a problem is because being overweight at young ages leads to a lot of problems later on in life. One study shows that children that grew up in violent households with physical and mental violence upon them are more likely to be overweight and stay overweight through their lives (Jun). Violence once again caused this unhealthy characteristic of communities. A way to fix this would be to have the government offer more services to help out with getting children out of bad households like that. Or offering services like sponsored after school programs that offer education on what are good foods to eat and what the kids can do to exercise. By doing this, it will make the children more educated and feel like they are important and will feel more accepted.

A third characteristics of an unhealthy community is how people, specifically kids, make decisions. The decision making process for kids is different than the decision making process for adults. Kids can be influenced by a lot of things. Particularly very influential people like big name athletes and political figures. In a study, it was shown that children were more likely to make the risk taking decision than the non-risk taking decision (Hansen). The decision they would be making would be one that is dangerous and not safe. Children are more likely to make those decisions because that want to be cool or impress their friends. The decisions also include thrill seeking decisions. Children will make those because they again want to be cool or impress their friends. These dangerous decision typically lead to violence and not very good situations. The decision to make violent situations needs to be prevented because this is how kids die and live bad lives with gang involvement and criminal records. There are ways to fix this problem though. That includes having education in schools about what is right and wrong and having resources for the kids to want to make the right choices.

The best option to fix violent unhealthy communities it to work on children's decision making skills. If this is done, the children will not make such violent decisions that could get them killed or in jail. This would lead to a all around better and more healthy community.

APO

I've recently became a brother of the fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. I'm really excited to become a member because it will help me grow as an individual and get ready for the real world. I really enjoy doing community service and helping other people prosper.

I enjoy being apart of communities where we all genuinely care about other people's well being and we all work together to help others out. My favorite organization that I've helped out so far is probably The Opp Shop. If you don't know what that is, it is part of Project 701. We have a huge collection of clothes that we lend out to people who are in need of something to wear for a class presentation or an interview for something. My second favorite organization is probably Back Pack Buddies. I really like this organization because we have one very similar in my hometown called Jacob's Ladder. I really just enjoy helping other people.

This fraternity is a really good fit for me. Plus, it looks really good on graduate school and job applications. I'm super excited to grow with all the people I meet by being in this fraternity. I hope it shows me more than what is just right in front of my face. I hope it opens my eyes to the bigger picture and see what people really need in this world.

Week 13 Response

1. Can You Feel The Love Tonight by Elton John
When I was growing up, before both of my younger brothers were born, probably when I was about 3 or 4, all I wanted to watch before I went to bed was The Lion King. It was my favorite movie at the time. I never got tired of it; I'm sure my parents did though. When I get tired of listening to any type of music that I am currently listening to I turn on Disney music. It's a nice change of pace. I really like this song because Elton John is just a classic. I've actually come to the conclusion in the last couple of years that this will be the song for my first dance with my future husband. Shhhh.. He doesn't know that yet.

2. The Sound by The 1975
I really enjoy this song because the lyrics are just very poetic. Part of the Lyrics are:

"Well I know when you're around cause I know the sound
I know the sound, of your heart"

I know that's so cheesy, but I think it's so romantic at the same time and I am such a hopeless romantic at heart.

3. Bennie And The Jets by Elton John
I really like Bennie And The Jets just because it is so catchy and Elton John's voice is just so velvety smooth. Elton John will forever be one of my favorite artists around.

4. Car Radio by Twenty One Pilots
Honestly, I really just like anything Twenty One Pilots. They are close to being one of my favorite bands of all time. Play any song by them when I'm around and I probably know ever single word to it.

5. Hard For by Kevin Gates
This song is probably slightly inappropriate to play around anyone besides adults; but I throughtly enjoy Kevin Gates and all of his music. There's more to this song than just nasty dirty bad stuff though. There is actually substance to it. It basically talks about how he loves a girl so much that he no longer is attracted to anyone else. Which is all a girl can really ask for.

6. Grillz by Nelly
This song is just a classic in my opinion. You can never go wrong with a little Nelly. My team has really addopted this song as ours. During our strength and conditioning class we started our morning by listening to it and tried to end our morning by listening to it. It was kind of like a bonding thing.

7. Love On The Weekend by John Mayer
Again, I am a hopeless romantic and I probably always will be. This song is great for people who like romance and stuff. Plus, John Mayer's voice is like butter on pancakes drizzled with syrup. Nothing better than that.

8. Turning Out by AJR
If I had to pick one song that describes growing up and finding love, this would be it. It is also jsut a very good song.

9. No Type by Rae Sremmurd
This song is a great warm up/pump up song. It really gets me going whenever we listen to it before games. This past season we were listening to it and then our coach walked in right as we all were all singing this one explicit part.

10. If It Means A Lot To You by A Day To Remember
The first time I heard this song I fell in love and am still in love with it to this day. A Day To Remember is a close second to my favorite band. This is definitely my favorite song by them. It makes me very happy and is just a great song.

Week 12 Response

In the video, there is a lot going on. At first, it is just the young girl and the older gentlemen. The girl starts to play music on her phone, it is a stereotypical song that a girl like her would listen to. The gentlemen gets annoyed and starts playing music on his phone, it is classical music. Then a business looking lady, not much older than the girl. What happens next is that three more people join in the elevator and they are all also playing music from their phones. These phones are also old phones. What happens next is that a guy come into the elevator with a big boombox. Everyone stops their music and puts their phones away. The guy with the boombox puts a tape in it and hits play. Nothing comes out and he pulls up headphones and puts them in his ears. Everyone looks around sheepishly.

The author's purpose of the video is to identify that people only really care about themselves. As in, the people on the elevator do not care what everyone else wants to listen to they only want to do what they want to do. In this case it was listening to what type of music they liked. This inference is correct because at the end of the video it shows how everyone notices how the one guy puts in headphones and then the very first girl gives him a head nod of appreciation and recognition almost. Which shows that the girl understands, almost as if she has learnt a lesson.

I believe the audience is supposed to be everyday people. I believe this because all the people in the video are everyday people just trying to go about there day. One way this video can teach something about community is how they all came to a conclusion of what to do amicably and they did not fight or argue about it. Another thing the viewer could learn about community is that it takes a leader to figure out the right thing to do. In this case the leader was the black man who used headphones instead of playing his big boom box out loud. A third thing you can learn about community from this video is that when you all work together, everyone shutting off their music, good things can happen, the actual elevator music turning on.

DCWS 2016

This past year was my first year playing collegiate soccer. I really had a blast. The girls on the team are now some of my closest friends and I would do anything for every single one of them. I've never been on a soccer team that has as good of team chemistry as we do. Yes, we are girls. Yes, we can be petty sometimes. But the thing is, we get over it. We are truly a real team and have connections on and off the field like no other.

As most people know, we did not have a very good record this year. I think we only won like 2 games. This sounds really bad but please let me put this in perspective for you. We had 17 freshmen and only 3 returners. Talk about inexperience at the college level. At the beginning of the season, we had 10 freshmen and 1 junior in the starting line up. Also, realize that NONE of us have ever played together. This means that we were basically a whole new team and very young. The very good teams that we would play in our conference, like Hanover and Rose-Hulman, had pretty much all seniors and juniors in their starting line up. I'm not making excuses but the odds were definitely stacked against us.

I really would not trade my freshmen year soccer season for anything. We are definitely all improving now during the off season. At the beginning of the semester we had our strength and conditioning class. Now, we are into our non-traditional season with training session 3 times a week in the morning from 7am-9am. I actually enjoy it because I feel like I have accomplished something with my day. We also are playing in a 7v7 tournament on April 22nd at Heidelberg. We also are hosting our own 3v3 tournament the day after and that is open to everyone! So, if you something to do on that Sunday, make a team and come out and play! The link is below:

Week 11 Response

Dear High School Senior,

The first difference that I am going to talk about in The Transition to College Writing is "College courses are not a direct continuations of high school instructions." You would think this one would be obvious but it really isn't. To me, this basically means that there are going to be some blank spots in your education and it's up to you, or not up to you, to figure those things out. I suggest to try as hard as you can to fill in the blanks; expand your mind and don't be afraid to ask questions.

The second one that I'm going to tell you about from the book is "While high school teachers are usually generalists, college teachers are specialists." This difference basically means that your professor at one point was in your shoes and decided they wanted to know all they could about this topic; just like you. It is probably my favorite one because once you find what you really want to do with your life and you can have conversations about that type of stuff with someone who is already educated in that topic. It's one of the best things because the discussions you can have will be intriguing and interesting to you.

One difference that I have noticed is that you do not have as much academic freedom as you think. Sometimes to pass a class, your opinion doesn't matter and it is wrong. Even though it is your OPINION. To pass, your opinion has to become the professors opinion and you have to believe it is absolutely true.

Another difference that I have noticed about college is that you have more freedom in the time you do stuff. Kind of the opposite of the first difference I noticed. If you don't wanna go to class, you don't have to. Just because you don't have to though doesn't mean you should do that. Also, having all this free time leads to procrastination and that is never good. So, I suggest using your time wisely and not procrastinating.

In preparing for college, you should try to not come up with these illusions and myths. It's basically lying to yourself and lying to yourself is not good. This is because you get your hopes up for one thing and then another thing happens and you get disappointed. Don't disappoint yourself and please follow my advice.

Sincerely,
Madi Bowman

The Great British Baking Show

The Great British Baking Show (TGBBS) is one of my new favorites on Netflix. If you are bored on a Sunday afternoon and want something to watch I suggest this show. There are a ton of other great shows on Netflix, but I still recommend this one.

TGBBS is about 12-15 bakers who compete for the final title of star baker. They make all types of stuff from pastries to bread to biscuits. At the end of the week after the three baking competition they pick a weekly star baker and then they send someone home if they came in last.  The three competitions consists of a creation of their own, a technical challenge where they have to rely on pretty much all skill and the the showstopper challenge which is where they make something like a big wedding cake or another thing like that. It's very interesting if you are in to baking even the slightest bit. I'm only on season 1 but I definitely intend to watch the other two seasons also. It's really good and intriguing.

My Favorite Food

I really like food. If anyone looked at my family you would understand when I say I really really like food. Growing up, my mom had this rule that you have to try something once and if you truly don't like it she will never make you eat it again. She got this rule from my grandma.

I really don't have one specific food that is my absolute all time favorite. I like all types of food. Including; pasta (any kind), Brussels sprouts, asparagus, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, pizza, meatloaf, red velvet cake, chicken nuggets, ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, ribble soup.... The list could go on forever really.

I came to appreciate food so much because my grandma on my mother's side used to make everything from scratch. She never used boxed anything. It was one of the best things ever. She also would make us birthday dinners on our birthdays or around them. We could pick whatever we wanted. I typically picked out something along the lines of veggie lasagna and red velvet cake. It really was one of my favorite meals of the year, mostly because it was exactly what I wanted and I got to help make it.

One of my favorite drinks is coffee. My grandparents on my mother's side always had coffee when I was growing up. It was good coffee also. It was never too bold, never too weak, and always brewed to perfection. I think they made so much of it over the years that they just got so good at it. All these kids in grade school would always tell me that they were never allowed to have coffee and that their parents said it would stunt their growth. I told them my grandparents had me drinking coffee when I was in diapers and look at me now, an above height for a woman. Now a days, I have at least one cup a day.

I would say that my grandparents effected my favorite types of food.

Week 9 Response

My biggest regret would be not spending more time or losing touch with the people I value the most. My regret does follow the "not" pattern.

When I was younger in grade school, I had a friend that I was pretty close with. Her name is Mickey, we were such good friends. I believe in 7th grade she moved to Florida. We tried to keep in touch with phone calls and social media but it was pretty difficult. Over the years, we lost touch. I definitely miss her and wish I could've stayed in touch with her.

The second part of my regret would be not being able to spend more time with my grandma and great grandma. My great grandma passed away when I was about 8 I believe. Her name was Lois. She was the best. We used to live about 3 blocks from her house and when I was 5 or 6 I would remember riding my bike to her house to spend the afternoon with her. I remember she would pretty much let us do whatever we wanted. She would sit and have tea parties with us. She would hold birthday parties for her dogs. She was the best great grandma anyone could ask for. My little brother gave her the name Little Granny because she was just a tiny old lady. I remember one time my little brother, Seth, got mad at my mom and decided to run away from home. He took my barbie jeep and went to Little Granny's house. Looking back we all laugh at it. I really do miss her immensely.

The other part of this regret is not spending more time with my grandma. Her name was Linda and she passed away in May of last year. She was my mom's mom. She was a great grandma. Sometimes I wouldn't think that but she definitely was. The same little brother, Seth, gave her the name Big Granny. At the time, she was the bigger of the two grandma's we had. She loved to garden. Any type; from raspberries to tulips. She would plant things like beets, green beans, peas, corn, rhubarb, cherries and potatoes. During the summer, we would go out there and help her out. She would teach us when these things where ready and how to pick them. She would also teach us how to preserve them with things like canning and blanching.

I regret all three of these things because these people had huge impacts on my life. Maybe not all in the same way, but they did. The only regret I could "turn around" would be reaching out to Mickey. I still have her phone number and am still friend with her on things like Facebook and Twitter.

Having regrets relate to our theme of community by people having regrets lead to a potentially unhealthy community. Depending on what your regrets are, is if it could lead to an unhealthy community.

Week 5 Response

This political community is what we call the Republican Party. It's leader, because every community has one, would be Donald Trump. This political community in the article includes everyone Trump has appointed to be apart of his administration. This isn't the whole Republican Party. I only consider certain members of Trump's administration to be corrupt. The doctrine of this community is "America First". This doctrine could potentially make it an unhealthy community because this is a slightly selfish view. One of the articles ("Why 'America First" is a dangerous doctrine) we read talks about JFK's inaugural address that "pledged to support any friend and oppose any for to assure the success of liberty". This is basically the same thing Trump tries to say but he doesn't clarify exactly what he means. Trump doesn't even make an illusion to liberty, one of the principles America was built on. With this in mind, the doctrine could lead to a potentially selfish and very corrupt American Government. This political community could be considered an unhealthy community because like i mentioned earlier it could lead to corruption. Having someone who is a business man lead something like that could be hazardous because they could not be all that focused on what they should be. Potentially this could harm society in many ways; it could make people of the government turn against each other because they don't have the same morals and ethics. The healthy communities should just try to stop and help the other community as much as possible.

My Type of Music

I like to listen to all types of music. I have gone through all the phases; punk rock, country, alternative, scream-o, pop, rap, hip hop, indie pop and Disney musicals. All of it, you name it, I've probably listened to it at some point in my life. If you look at my Spotify playlist right now, you would see a variety of songs.

I really appreciate throwbacks. Like 2000's throwbacks.  As a team, DCWS really appreciates Grillz by Nelly. If you really wanna see how committed we are to the song, go check out our bio's on Twitter.

Not only do throwbacks make an appearance in my playlists but songs from Disney movies do also. I like anything from actual musicals like Wicked to just like songs from Frozen. My favorite Disney song is Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid. I typically only listen to this type of music when I just want to chill or while I'm sleeping.

My favorite band is probably Twenty One Pilots; my favorite song by them is "HeavyDirtySoul". They are from Columbus which makes it even better. I was a fan even before they became super famous. A close second would be A Day To Remember, my favorite song by them is "If it means a lot to you".

My favorite rapper is Kevin Gates. He has a really nice raspy voice. I like to listen to him while I do homework.

My favorite country singer is probably Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett or Luke Bryant. I like listening to them a lot in the summer. Mostly because country music has such a summery vibe.

My Family

In my immediate family, I have my mom and dad and two younger brothers. I love all of them very much. They get on my nerves a lot, but I still love them all. My parents divorced when I was going into sixth grade; this makes my family not like a typical family. It used to really bother me, but as I have gotten older it has become a normality in my life.

My moms name is Rolinda Lois Bowman. She has a very not typical name. My grandparents did not know what to name her so they combined both of their names. My grandfathers name is Ronald Travis Simmons and he goes by Travis. My grandmothers name was Linda Lois Simmons. They took the Ro from Ronald and put it with Linda to get Rolinda. There are only about ten people in this world that have my moms name or a variation of that name, which is pretty cool. My mom is also 47 and will be 48 in April. My mom has live in my hometown her entire life.

My dad's name is James Lyn Bowman. He is also 47 and will be 48 in May. He has lived all over the United States until he was about 20 when he settled down with my mom. My dad has always been there for me when it comes to things like sports and figuring out what I want to do with going to college to play soccer. I will always cherish everything he has done for me in regards to athletics. He has pushed me to be the best and always want the best for myself.

The oldest of my two younger brothers is 15. His name is Seth. I did not like it when he was born. My mom woulds me stories of how I through hissy fits whenever they would talk about the new baby coming. He will be 16 and March and that scares me because that means he will start driving. I can't believe how old he is getting.

The youngest one is 13. His name is Sage. My whole family calls him Peanut. We call him that because he was the smallest out of all three of us kids when he was born.

Week 3 Response

I believe the intended audience for the first one (John Lewis Christmas Advert 2016 #bustertheboxer) is families. I think this because in the commercial there is a family and the parents bought the trampoline for the daughter. When they go to bed; I believe the animals that start jumping on it represent a family also. Maybe not a traditional family, but still a family. That's what the company means when they say "gifts that everyone will love".

I believe for the second one (What A Creative Advertisement By Mercedes!) is intended for families also. I think this is because typically Mercedes Benz cars are not family cars, but since the police officer drives it, this makes it a safe family car. It makes sense; plus there is a cute little boy with a teddy bear who leaves his house after his parents go to bed to just say "he is lost" and get a free ride in a nice car. I actually give props to the little kid, I would have never been able to think of something like that when I was a kid.

The third add (Budweiser- Eternal Optimism 2012 Super Bowl Add), I believe is intended for the younger generation. The generation that is more likely to want to drink and celebrate mild things. I think it is meant for the younger generation because in the add there is flashing lights and loud music; basically the party scene that you would not see an older person at.

My One True Love

I play soccer. I have played soccer since I was about 4. This means that I have played for 15 years. That's a really long time; like an almost insane about of time. I love this game with my whole heart. I don't know where I would be without it. I thank my mom almost daily for putting me in it when I was a kid. There were definitely trying times. Times when I didn't think my body could handle anymore or times when I had enough of the bull shit coaching or times were I had awful teammates. I always stuck with it though.

Growing up in a pretty small town made in tough playing the sport I love. Half the time to even be on a decent team my parents would have to drive at least an hour to get me to practice everyday. In retrospect I honestly don't know how they did it, because I also have two little brothers that were involved in sports and other things. I didn't know that I really loved playing and wanted to continue as long as I could until I was about in middle school. I told my parents that I wanted to get really serious about playing soccer and that I wanted to play in college. My parents didn't really believe me. So to prove it to them I started staying after practice with my coach and working extra. I did this for a whole year. It's then that my parents realized I was extremely serious about this. My parents basically dropped everything and started helping me find another club team that was more serious and had more resources for me to play on. My dad started watching videos on YouTube to help him learn more about the game and help me understand more about the game. At about this time I was about to enter high school.

All throughout high school my love for soccer grew immensely. My dad found a really good Keeper Trainer who I worked with for about 3 years. I learned so much from him. To this day I still talk to him about once a month about just what is going on in each others lives. I started staying and working with my high school coach also. He taught me a lot. About my sophomore year I started emailing college coaches and inviting them to ID clinics and tournaments that I was going to be playing in. Eventually, I found my way here to DC. I have no regrets about my decision to come here.

Playing in college has taught me a lot. Not only has it taught me valuable skills like time management skills and how to communicate effectively but also the true meaning of friendship. Some of my teammates now I will cherish forever.

Week 2 Response

Community is important to me. Community is important in everyday life; you can be a part of many different communities. One community that I was a part of during high school was my group of friends. We all played basketball together, from 5th grade until our senior year of high school. We basically all grew up together; went through the high's and low's together. Sometimes our low's were really low and we needed each other immensely. Sometimes our high's were really high; some of my best memories were with these girls.

There were 5 of us. One of the girls didn't really become friends with us until our junior year of high school but she still fits in perfectly with the group. The other 4 I have known basically my entire life. We share a bond that can never be broken; we all have been through literally everything together. Spending that mush time with people you would think we got annoyed with each other, we occasionally would, but it was never too bad. No matter where we go in life I know that if I ever need anything, I can go to those girls for help.

Now that all of us are away at college, it can be tough hanging out. Out of the entire winter break, we only hung out once. This kind of sucked but at the same we were all busy working or doing family stuff. The time we hung out though was awesome. We spent the whole day making cookies and watching Christmas movies. I think we made like 7 batches of cookies and 2 batches of Buckeyes. It was a good time; hardly any baking supplies got wasted. I think this is like the fourth year in a row that we have made cookies before Christmas. I remember the first year we started this little tradition we basically got into a huge food fight. There was flour everywhere; it was not fun to clean up. Our mothers were very upset needless to say. I can seriously say that I look forward to our future cookie baking times.

These girls will forever be in my life. I intend to be in their life forever also. They are some of my closest friends. This is also one very important community in my life.

The Lancet

I like to keep up with what is going on in the medical field. I like to check different sites to see what is going on; typically I check about 3 or 4 of them at least once a week. One of my favorites is TheLancet.com. It's a good site with a variety of stories. I also feel like if I do this I will have an edge over everyone else because I will already know what is going on. I like to just learn and expand my knowledge on things that interest me.

One of the featured articles this week was about a new way to check for cancers. Particularly prostate cancers. Typically, a male would need to have some sort of biopsy that led to pain, bleeding and infection. With new technology and procedures, a multi parametric MRI could be used instead. This new procedure could lead to better accuracy and less pain due to incisions and such.

Week 1 Response

I reach in my pocket and find five items. This includes; a 1997 quarter, keys to a car, a receipt to The Red Mule, bullets and a ripped brochure to Defiance College. I look at these items for a long time and can't remember what happened.

Looking down, I realize I'm not wearing my own clothes. I'm wearing a ratty old pair of sweats and a t-shirt three sizes too big for me.

As I look more closely at the five items I found in my pocket, everything slowly starts to come back to me. The quarter is from the year I was born, looking shiny and brand new, no scratches or smudges in sight. The keys are to a 1987 Chevy Silverado, my mom's car she had the year I was born. The receipt is to a restaurant that has been closed in my hometown for almost ten years. The bullets are from a gun that I had last night. The brochure is from giving a recruit a tour two days ago.

I remember that while I was giving the recruit a tour, two days ago, I passed out and was transported to my hometown two days before I was supposed to be born. I wake up to a mysterious man standing by my head. I get up and look around. He starts telling me about how something is after my mom and if I want to live I need to stop it. He tells me where it is going to be and when. I'm baffled. I don't understand.

Suddenly, he disappeared. I'm stuck in a random park and my stomach starts growling. I find my bearings and realize that I'm 10 minutes away from a restaurant that everyone talks about but has been closed down for about ten years. I decide to go eat there and see what the fuss is all about. Once I get there, it's so crowded and there's people I know everywhere. It's just a dinky little bar but I stay and order some mini tacos. This was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made; they were so good. Once I'm done eating I pay my bill and make my way outside. I look down and see something shiny. I bend down to pick it up and find it's a quarter. I put it in my pocket.

I make my way towards my mom and dad's house to sit and watch just in case the monster shows up early. I get there and see that the monster is already there. He's looking through the window.

I'm really confused. Like extremely confused. That guy said the monster wasn't supposed to be around for another day. I look down at my pants and see something shiny. I realize it's a gun so i take it out of my pants and start to shoot at him. I miss but fire a couple of more times; I hit him in the leg and he starts running off. I run inside the house, surprisingly both my parents are still asleep, I take my mom's keys to her truck and start to follow the monster in it. He doesn't get far and I'm on his tail within seconds. I stop the car and start to chase him. Soon, I'm right there and shoot him in the back killing him. He falls to the ground and starts to shake and catches on fire. He disappears completely and all that's left is burn marks on the ground.

I head back to the truck and that guy is sitting in the passenger seat. He explains what happened; then touches my forehead and sends me back to the future. I ended up sleeping through the next day and woke up in a jail cell two days from when I originally left. I don't know how I ended up in a jail cell or how I ended up in these clothes either. All I know is that that is what happened.
